Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 April 2026
This policy explains what personal information Digital Revamp NI collects, why we collect it, and how we handle it. Written in plain English because legal word salad helps nobody.
1. Who we are
Digital Revamp NI is a web design and development business based in Portadown, County Armagh, Northern Ireland. For any privacy questions, you can contact us at chehanvey@gmail.com.
We are the data controller for any personal information you provide through this website.
2. What information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form submissions: your name, email address, business name (optional), and the content of your message.
- Email correspondence: anything you choose to send us by email.
Information collected automatically
- Essential cookies: a single local storage value recording your cookie consent choice.
- Analytics (optional, only if you consent): anonymous page view data, device type, and referrer. No personally identifiable tracking.
- Server logs: IP address, user agent, and URL requested — standard hosting logs kept for up to 30 days for security purposes.
3. Why we use it (lawful basis)
Under UK GDPR we need a lawful basis for every use of your data. Ours are:
- Legitimate interests — to respond to your enquiries, produce proposals, and keep the website secure.
- Consent — for any optional analytics, which you control via the cookie banner.
- Contract — when you engage us for a project, we process the data needed to deliver it.
4. Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. Full stop. We use a small number of trusted processors to operate the site:
- Netlify — hosts the website (servers outside the UK; covered by Standard Contractual Clauses).
- Formspree — processes the contact form and forwards submissions to our inbox.
- Google — if you've consented to analytics cookies, anonymised usage data is sent to Google Analytics 4.
We would only share your data with anyone else if required by law.
5. How long we keep it
- Form submissions: kept for as long as needed to respond and, if you become a client, for the duration of our working relationship plus 6 years (HMRC requirement).
- Email correspondence: retained for up to 3 years after last contact, then deleted.
- Server logs: 30 days.
- Analytics: up to 14 months (Google Analytics default).
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct it if it's wrong
- Have it deleted ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict or object to how we use it
- Ask us to hand it over in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time
To exercise any of these, email chehanvey@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days.
If you believe we've mishandled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
7. Security
The site runs over HTTPS with TLS encryption. Form submissions are transmitted encrypted and stored on reputable, ISO-27001 aligned infrastructure. That said, no system is 100% secure — don't email us sensitive information like passwords or card details.
8. Children
This site is not aimed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we'll delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data we'll update this page and the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be flagged prominently on the homepage for at least 14 days.
